Hello! Our names are Diane and Raymond Kilthau. We are the owners of ColoradoDeaf.com and we hope you will enjoy this website as much as we do! We would like to tell you a little about ourselves. We have two dogs, Della and Java.
Diane is originally from Massachusetts and married Raymond in 2005. She has two daughters, Melissa Patel and Jennifer Balcer, one grandson, Cash, and one granddaughter, Mazzy; all currently live in Parker, Colorado. She graduated from Clarke School for the Deaf in North Hampton, Massachusetts, and from Berkshire and Holyoke colleges in Massachusetts. She worked for eight years as a web designer until retiring in 2005.
Raymond is the third generation Colorado native and is a CODA. He graduated from the Colorado School for the Deaf and the Blind. He went to Gallaudet University and graduated from Metropolitan State College of Denver with two bachelor degrees, Political Science and History. He is involved with many different deaf organizations . He was the president of Midwest Athletic Association of the Deaf (MAAD) and later became president of the United States of America Basketball Association (USADB). He was US team leader for the US Team to PANAMDES Deaf Games in 2007. Now retired, he worked for Defense Finance and Accounting Service in Denver as programmer for 20 years. Currently, he is president of the Colorado Association of the Deaf (CAD), 2011-2013.
